Job Description:
Lead high profile assignments on the analyst team in India focused on the iron & steel and other capital intensive infrastructure sectors across the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East.
Serve the C-suite in financial institutions, investors and promoters in answering owner-oriented questions on capital allocation, operating efficiency, technical feasibility, and investment phasing.
Translate multiple engineering inputs into financial metrics affecting P&L and cash flow, and frame capital investment alternatives for decision making.
Develop and maintain industry and competitive cost database from worldwide plant infrastructure, production, material price movements, supply chain understanding and industry trends.
Help develop, maintain and standardize financial and operational models to be applied for delivering customer solutions quickly and productively.
Skill Set:
Costing, Financial Analysis, Financial Modelling, Budgeting, Business Optimisation
Experience:
15 Years of experience as a financial analyst or CPA/CFA with substantial exposure to capital intensive sectors (iron & steel, power, oil & gas, etc.), formal Finance training at the university level (an MBA in Finance desirable), deep modelling experience in Excel, experience making executive presentations to Senior Management are required. An Engineering Degree in Metallurgy or Mech E is a plus, but not required. To succeed in this role, and interest in understanding steel making processes and translating that into financial metrics of efficiency and profitability for owners is a must.
